Alongside real-world installation experience, Gary has also worked within technical and compliance-focused roles across the solar and battery industry, including senior technical leadership positions involving inspections, standards interpretation, compliance assessment, and industry education. This experience provides a strong understanding of both practical installation requirements and the technical standards governing modern solar and battery systems.

Gary has spent much of his career working within the energy and solar industry, developing a strong understanding of system design, performance, and the challenges associated with large-scale energy use.
Discovery Solar was established to take a more considered approach — focusing on getting systems right at a local level through thoughtful design, proper installation, and long-term performance.
Gary is known for providing clear, straightforward guidance, helping clients understand how their system works and what it’s designed to achieve without unnecessary complexity.
