Inspected properly. Reported clearly.
Independent Solar & Battery Compliance Assessments
Discovery Solar provides independent solar and battery inspections for homeowners, businesses and other parties who need a clear understanding of how a system has been installed, whether it is operating as intended, and whether any compliance or workmanship issues are present.
These assessments may be useful for:
installer or workmanship disputes
recently completed systems where concerns have been identified
systems experiencing faults, poor performance or unexpected battery behaviour
pre-purchase property inspections where solar or battery systems form part of the property
insurance or warranty matters requiring an independent technical assessment
situations where a second opinion is required before further rectification work is undertaken
Each inspection is approached independently, with no sales agenda and no obligation to carry out rectification work.
Assessments may include system testing, review of installation quality, compliance with relevant standards, system performance, photographic evidence and review of available documentation.
A clear written report is provided outlining the findings, any issues identified and the recommended next steps. Reports can be used to support discussions with installers, electricians, insurers, property owners or other relevant parties where further action is required.
The aim is simple: provide an accurate, practical and technically grounded assessment so you understand what is happening with your system and what needs to happen next.
How It Works
Discovery Solar follows a clear, structured inspection process to provide an independent assessment of your solar or battery system.
1. Initial Review
We discuss your concerns, system history and the reason for the inspection, and review any available documentation.
2. On-Site Inspection & Testing
The system is inspected and tested, including installation quality, system operation, compliance and any identified areas of concern.
3. Findings & Evidence
Relevant issues are documented with clear notes, testing results and photographic evidence.
4. Written Report & Next Steps
You receive a clear written report outlining the findings, any non-compliances or concerns identified, and practical recommendations for the next steps.
Inspection Pricing
Independent solar or battery inspections from $550 + GST.
Pricing varies depending on system size, battery storage, site access and the level of testing or reporting required. Combined solar and battery inspections, insurance matters and more complex compliance assessments are quoted individually.
All inspections include a written report outlining findings and recommended next steps.
